Scosche Has the RHYTHM
There are fitness monitors that can tell you everything and seeming do everything. The Scosche RHYTHM isn’t one of those devices. It works on the KISS principal – keep it simple stupid. This fitness monitor eliminates the heart rate strap that is commonly found with most monitors, but it also features a lightweight interface that is in a word, simple!
The RHYTHM was designed to be streamlined, and this arm strap measures the pulse using a combination of two alternating LEDs along with a photo sensor. The only physical buttons are there to control music, but that doesn’t mean this device is limited in what it can do. When paired with a 3G/4G device the integrated accelerometer can be used to calculate calories burned, speed, pace, route and distance. Not bad for a device that looks so simple.
It works with iOS devices including the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch as well as a variety of Android devices, and can connect via Bluetooth from up to 33 feet. We can see people using the RHYTHM method to stay in shape.
