Interbike 2012: Empire Builder at Giro
Giro has built a not so small empire with its line of helmets and shoes, and at Interbike last week the company unveiled the Empire, a new custom shoe developed specifically for Taylor Phinney to use in the 2012 Giro d’Italia and Olympic Games.
This minimalistic road shoe is designed to kep the foot secure and is supported with a one-piece “Tejin” upper, Super Natural Fit footbed and an injection-molded heel cup. The maximum power comes from the premium Easton EC90 unidirectional carbon outsole that further ensures minimal weight.
And now you don’t need to be Taylor to get your hands on one, and put the Empire on your feet!
